The Terms of Use define how the fotocommunity works and what rights and obligations apply to all members.

What does this mean for you?

fotocommunity is a platform for people who want to share their photos, discuss them, and connect with others about photography.

Here you can:

  • publish your own photos
  • receive and give feedback
  • connect with other photographers
  • participate in discussions

The Terms of Use ensure that clear and fair rules apply to everyone.

2. Registration and Membership

What does this mean for you?

To actively participate, you need an account.

For this you need:

  • a valid email address
  • a password

Keep your password secure. Everything that happens through your account is initially assigned to you.

If someone misuses your account, please inform us immediately.

3. Free Features

What does this mean for you?

Using fotocommunity is generally free.

With a free membership you can:

  • upload photos
  • create a profile
  • comment on photos
  • send messages
  • participate in discussions

The upload limits are:

  • 5 photos per week
  • maximum 100 photos in total

4. Paid Features

What does this mean for you?

If you want more options, you can subscribe to a premium membership.

Premium offers:

  • more upload capacity
  • ad-free usage
  • additional features

The subscription is processed via a payment provider. Once payment is completed, premium is activated in your account.

5. Right of Withdrawal

What does this mean for you?

If you book a paid service, you generally have 14 days to withdraw from the contract.

For digital services, this right may expire if you agree during the purchase process that access is granted immediately.

6. Responsibility and Code of Conduct

What does this mean for you?

You are responsible for everything you publish.

This includes:

  • your photos
  • titles and descriptions
  • comments
  • forum posts

Only publish content:

  • that you have the rights to
  • that does not violate laws
  • that respects other members

7. Content Review and Moderation

What does this mean for you?

fotocommunity may review and moderate content.

This means:

  • photos can be removed
  • posts can be deleted
  • accounts can be suspended

There is no entitlement for a photo to remain permanently published.

8. Granting of Rights

What does this mean for you?

Your photos still belong to you.

To display them on the platform, you grant us a right of use to store and present your images within the fotocommunity service.

If you delete a photo, this right automatically ends.

9. Indemnification

What does this mean for you?

If your content violates the rights of others, claims may be made against you.

Therefore, only publish photos:

  • that you created yourself
  • or for which you have the necessary rights

10. Protected Content

What does this mean for you?

Photos and content in fotocommunity are protected by copyright.

You may not copy, publish, or use them commercially without the photographer’s permission.

Private use is allowed.

11. Competitions

Separate terms and conditions apply to competitions. There is no entitlement to participate or win.

12. Marketplace

If you buy or sell something in the marketplace, the contract is concluded directly between the members involved.

fotocommunity only provides the platform.

13. Termination of Free Membership

You can delete your account at any time.

After termination, your photos will be deleted within 14 days.

14. Termination of Paid Membership

Premium subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 14 days before renewal.

After renewal, you can cancel at any time with one month’s notice.

15. Advertising

Free memberships may include advertising.

Premium members use the platform without ads.

16. Limitation of Liability

We strive to provide a reliable platform, but technical issues may occur.
